Each article offers a closer look at the people, innovation and purpose driving our businesses forward—showcasing the impact we make together across our global organization.

At Seaboard Foods, we believe great products start with great people. That belief sits at the heart of The Prairie Fresh Way — our approach to doing pork the right way. As an American-owned pork brand, it reflects our commitment to doing things the right way from animal care to food safety and quality to delivering products families across the world can feel good about serving at their table.

Guided by four core pillars—Culture of Connection, Connected Food System, Trusted Quality, and Expertise and Partnership — the Prairie Fresh Way shapes how we work, what we produce and how we show up for one another, ensuring our values are reflected not just in our products, but in how they’re made.

While The Prairie Fresh Way starts on our farms and carries through our plants and supply chain, it also comes to life at our headquarters. When Seaboard employees experience our pork products firsthand, they see that commitment in action, strengthening their connection to the work behind the brand. Those shared experiences build pride—and inspiring employees to be credible brand ambassadors.

Why Brand Ambassadors Matter

When thinking about brand ambassadors, social media influencers often come to mind. However, some of our most effective ambassadors are the employees who understand our products, believe in The Prairie Fresh Way and share that belief authentically with others.

Engaging employees through meaningful product experiences allows advocacy to grow organically — rooted in trust, pride and firsthand knowledge.

When employees enjoy and talk about our products:

  • Credibility increases. Friends, family and community members trust recommendations from someone they know.
  • Recruiting gets easier. Prospective employees can tell when a company’s people are genuinely proud of what they make.
  • Customer relationships deepen. Employees who understand the product on a personal level speak about it with confidence and realness.
  • Culture strengthens. Celebrating what we produce brings The Prairie Fresh Way to life across the company.

Celebrating the Products We Make—Together

Throughout the year, Seaboard Foods creates opportunities for our headquarters team to enjoy Prairie Fresh pork products. These experiences aren’t just fun—they help connect our people to the results of their work.

BLT Day with Prairie Fresh and Daily’s Bacon

Few things bring people together like the smell of sizzling bacon. BLT Day has become one of our most popular traditions, giving employees the chance to enjoy the rich flavor of Prairie Fresh and Daily’s bacon brands. It’s a moment of pride to reinforce the quality standards and attention to detail that define The Prairie Fresh Way.

National BBQ Day with Prairie Fresh Ribs

Few traditions are more deeply rooted in American culture than barbecue, and Prairie Fresh® pork is made for those moments. On National BBQ Day, headquarters employees gathered to enjoy tender Prairie Fresh® ribs and celebrate a classic American tradition.

The experience highlighted what Prairie Fresh stands for—American‑owned pork, raised and prepared the right way, and meant to be shared around the grill. Experiencing the product in a traditional BBQ setting helped employees connect the brand to real moments that bring people together.

Prairie Fresh and Garozzo’s Italian Sausage

Earlier this year, Seaboard Foods spotlighted a new co-branded Prairie Fresh and Garozzo’s Italian Style Premium Ground Pork Sausage, bringing a beloved Kansas City’s restaurant experience into retail. Made with Prairie Fresh pork and inspired by Garozzo’s signature recipe, the product allows families to enjoy familiar, trusted flavors at home. Employees sampled the sausage prepared restaurant‑style, reinforcing how strong partnerships translate into quality retail offerings.

Moments like this reinforce that when employees try our products in a celebratory way, they naturally spread the word—and those stories carry weight.
