Seaboard Corporation is a unique company with a rich history dating back more than 100 years. Although the company has evolved over time through acquisitions, partnerships and internal growth, its roots are in grain and agriculturally derived products. Common to all our endeavors, we strive to distinguish ourselves in the industries we select.
Seaboard Timeline
2020
Acquired a flour mill in Guayaquil, Ecuador, in a joint venture with Continental Grain Company, marking first overseas operation.
SEABOARD ALLIED MILLING CORPORATION
Founder Otto Bresky retired as Chairman and member of the Board of Directors; succeeded by his son, H. Harry Bresky.
SEABOARD ALLIED MILLING CORPORATION
Constructed a new flour mill in Buchanan, Liberia.
SEABOARD ALLIED MILLING CORPORATION
Expanded capacity of the Nigerian flour mill by 100 percent.
SEABOARD ALLIED MILLING CORPORATION
Designed and built a new corporate headquarters in Merriam, Kansas.
SEABOARD ALLIED MILLING CORPORATION
Acquired Holsum Bakers of Puerto Rico and Seaboard Bakeries, also of Puerto Rico.
SEABOARD OVERSEAS TRADING GROUP
Commenced shrimp farming operations in Ecuador with Continental Grain.
SEABOARD CORPORATION
Acquired an interest in a flour mill, pasta plant and cookie operations in Beira, Mozambique.

Acquired an interest in a flour mill in Haiti.
SEABOARD OVERSEAS TRADING GROUP
Seaboard acquired a 50% non-controlling interest in a flour milling business located in Gambia.

Seaboard acquired in late 2014 30% of RussellStone Protein, a soy crush operation based outside of Pretoria, South Africa.
