Seaboard Marine Receives Highest Quest for Quality Award

Logistics Management recently released its list of winners for its annual Quest for Quality Awards, which are viewed by industry professionals as the gold standard for measuring customer satisfaction and performance excellence for carriers, ports and logistics providers worldwide. Seaboard Marine has always performed well, receiving recognition in different scoring categories throughout the years for the tremendous service our employees provide. This year, Seaboard Marine led the way, receiving the highest weighted score and being recognized as the top ocean carrier in the world.

Of the five scoring categories, Seaboard Marine received the highest score in value and, most impressively, achieved the best overall score amongst dozens of global ocean lines. Further, Seaboard Marine solidly ranked in the top quartile in all other categories, which included On-time Performance, Information Technology, Customer Service, and Equipment & Operations. Other shipping lines who rounded out the overall top five included Matson, TOTE, OOCL, and Hamburg Sud.

For nearly four decades, Quest for Quality has been regarded in the transportation and logistics industry as an important gauge of customer satisfaction and performance excellence. To determine their findings, Logistics Management polled qualified subscribers of the publication to rate ocean carriers based on key service quality criteria. Over 4,500 ballots were cast.
