The Seaboard Overseas and Trading Group, which manages the operations of this company, operates company-owned bulk carriers primarily in the Atlantic basin to conduct a portion of our commodity trading activities. In addition, we charter third-party bulk carriers for commodity trading activities and the transportation of bulk goods on behalf of third-party customers.
The grain processing business produces flour and feed which is sold under specific brand names within each respective country. Bulk product is sold wholesale, and in some operations packaged and marketed directly to the retail market.
